Marek Niewiarowski
Diamond Born Photography & Film was founded by photographer & filmmaker Marek Niewiarowski also known as Maz, alongside his wife and co-owner Sari Sheehan. Marek has a keen eye for capturing photojournalistic style images in both photography and film.
Marek hails from England and is of Polish Descent. He started his career studying theater in London, before progressing on to write and devise productions that toured throughout the UK. After arriving in the USA in 2010, he undertook postgraduate studies in film and photography at the prestigious UCLA. Marek has a wide scope of experience ranging from acting, directing, creative storytelling, shooting portraiture, to wedding photography.
Marek continues to work as a filmmaker in the music, film and event industries. He recently directed a documentary project for Lego, and a music video with the NBC World of Dance contestants.
When photographing weddings, he particularly enjoys getting to know families whilst capturing their once in a lifetime event.
Marek's varied background provides him the skillset as a photographer to work effortlessly with individuals or large groups.
He has an uncanny ability to capture the emotions and essence of the day.
Sari Sheehan
Diamond Born Photography & Film co-founder Sari Sheehan, is a wedding photographer, director, writer, producer, and actress with fifteen years of experience - from global film sets to luxury upscale weddings.
Sari’s creative education and career began in Australia, where she completed her undergraduate degree in Performance Art and Documentary Directing; she nurtured her passion for photography alongside these achievements. In 2008 she moved to Los Angeles to delve deeper into her creative career.
Sari's husband, Marek, inspired her to venture deeper into training and finessing her skills as a professional photographer.
Sari initially developed her eye through street photography and portraits, before transitioning into documentary-style fine art wedding photography. Both Sari's style and drive is rooted in the authentic expression and feeling of love.
She captures heartfelt images of couples, and their loved ones, that offers a timeless beauty.
The rigorous years of creative training helped Sari define her signature style, instinctively understanding the best angles for bridal body language whilst making posing a fun experience for couples through her organic direction.
Sari and Marek enjoy creating genuine connections with their couples and their guests, which makes for a relaxed atmosphere where the authentic moments of a wedding day can shine through.
